How do I schedule an appointment for tax preparation or planning? To schedule an appointment for tax preparation, please call our office at (706) 375-1889. When you call, please let us know if we have prepared your return in the past and if you have any significant changes in circumstances since we last prepared your return. To schedule an appointment for tax planning, please call and ask to speak with Ashley Clark. She will schedule you to meet with Scott Goble, the firm's founder and tax planning guru.

I am planning to have my tax return prepared while I wait. Do I need to schedule an appointment to have my taxes prepared? No. We will have at least one tax preparer available to prepare returns for walk-ins during tax season. However, an appointment is a good idea if you are in a hurry because returns for walk-in clients are prepared on a first come, first served basis and clients with an appointement are taken before walk-ins.

I am planning to drop off my tax information and pick up my return later. Do I need an appointment to drop off or pickup my tax return? You do not need an appointment to drop off your return. However, we recommend making an appointment to pickup your return so your preparer will have time to go over the results of your return and answer any questions you may have about the results.

Who will prepare my return? Tax preparation assignments are made based on your preferences, preparer availability, the complexity of return, and the presence of any extenuating circumstances (i.e. an unusual transaction). All returns are read by a licensed Certified Public Accountant before being transmitted to the Internal Revenue Service and state Department of Revenue.

I hear that CPA firms charge a lot of money to prepare an income tax return. How much do you charge? Our fee for income tax preparation is based on the complexity of your return, the qualifications of the person preparing your return, and the forms required for proper preparation. Our fees are very competitive and often less than charged by tax "stores." For the 2017 filing season, our fee for a typical individual tax return was $210. Our updated fee schedule for the coming tax season will be published and available from this web page mid-December 2017.

Can the preparation fee be taken out of my refund? Yes. We offer a service where we deduct the preparation fee from your tax refund.

Do you offer refund advances or loans? Yes. We are planning to offer refund advances up to $1,500 for the coming tax season. We are also planning to offer a personal loan of as much as $1,000 for qualified taxpayers in additon to the $1,500 advance; a total of $2,500 available to taxpayers within days of filing!
